In order to ensure the protection of public health and to halt the spread of the virus, the Ministry of State informs citizens that the validity of European Digital Certificates COVID (EUDCC) related to vaccination and infection - for safe pass purposes - will be temporarily revoked for persons diagnosed positive for Covid-19 disease, for the period during which they remain under mandatory restriction or self-limitation. Note that these individuals will not be able to be issued new EUDCC certificates prior to their release.
Regarding safepass checks via the CovScan Cyprus application, in the above case, the check result will be Red: Not Valid.
A prerequisite for the smooth operation of the CovScan Cyprus application and to ensure reliable readings/check results are updated National Control Rules and updated Trusted Public Keys. It is reminded that the National Rules should be updated at least once a day.
The last date and time of update is indicated at the end of the Settings of the application, under Reload. If NO date is indicated (or if the date is not current) check the internet connectivity of the application and try again.
