Methodological Information

General Information

The Supply, Use and Input-Output tables are an important part of the System of National Accounts, as they provide detailed information for the analysis of transactions in goods and services by sectors of the economy and consumers. They contain data by product and economic activity and show the breakdown of domestic production and imports into intermediate consumption and final uses.

Coverage and data collection

The tables cover the whole economy, including all institutional sectors, all products and all categories of economic activity. Economic transactions with foreign countries are also recorded.

The production of the tables is based mainly on the results of the annual economic surveys of the Statistical Office, administrative sources, general government data and adjustments calculated on the basis of the European System of Accounts 2010 (ESA 2010).
