Interested producers, after declaring their intention to produce potato seed, should, immediately after planting the potato seed production fields, submit a request for the production of certified potato seed by filling in the 'Application for participation in the certified potato seed production programme'. Relevant forms can be obtained from the local District Agricultural Offices. Applications must be submitted to the relevant District Agricultural Offices. The application period ends on 9 February 2024 for the Paphos, Limassol and Larnaca Districts and on 23 February 2024 for the Nicosia District. Applications submitted after these dates will not be received.

It is stressed that the marketing, free of charge or for a fee, of potato seeds is allowed only if the whole process of potato seed production has been officially certified by the competent inspectors of the Department of Agriculture and the potato seed is in closed packaging, which is appropriately labelled.
