The second shipment of humanitarian aid from the port of Larnaca will arrive in Gaza within the day, President of the Hellenic Republic Nicos Christodoulides said today.
In his statements to journalists, after the triumphal ceremony at the graves of the heroes of the national liberation struggle of EOKA '55-'59, at the Prisoner's Memorial, in response to a journalist's remark that the third shipment of humanitarian aid to Gaza is being prepared and asked when the second ship will arrive at its destination, the President of the Republic said: "In a very short time the second shipment of aid will arrive at the port of Gaza, within the day.
We are preparing for the third shipment and we are in contact with the American Government in relation to the preparations to complete the work on the port, which will greatly increase the delivery of humanitarian aid from Larnaca to Gaza."
