The President of the Hellenic Republic, Nicos Christodoulides, referred to the working dinner with a group of leaders of European Union (EU) member states, which will take place tomorrow evening in Vienna.
In his statements to journalists, arriving at the offices of the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB) and asked about his trip to Vienna tomorrow, the President of the Republic said: "Tomorrow I will be at the working dinner organised by the President of the European Council and the Chancellor of Austria to discuss, first of all, the strategic agenda of the EU, the next steps.
You know that we have elections on 9 June, so the new EU strategy will have to be defined. We have specific positions on all major EU issues, also in the context of trying to have a stronger voice and role in Brussels on issues that either concern the EU's strategic autonomy, or immigration, or the decision-making process. There are several issues and all of them will be discussed tomorrow."
