We neither underestimate nor downplay what saw the light of day last night, President of the Hellenic Republic Nicos Christodoulides said tonight.
In his statements to journalists, coming to the event on the occasion of the anniversary of the declaration of the pseudo-state and asked whether a team of investigators will be set up to investigate what saw the light of day last night, the President of the Republic said that "the Cyprus Government and I personally neither underestimate nor downplay everything that has seen the light of day. And this is a clear message from the Government and me personally.
Already, investigations have begun and, as I said yesterday, investigations that will have a specific timetable and will not be investigations that will last for many years. And I repeat the message that I said yesterday that no one, no one is above the reputation, above the credibility of our country.
People are reading the reports in the international press today and I have to tell you it is not something that made me feel proud. So, we are neither underestimating nor downgrading, neither the government nor I personally. Nothing else."
