With its decision today, the Council of Ministers approved the new Action Plan for the smooth operation of flights and the operation of airports. The Action Plan was submitted to the Council of Ministers by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, following a decision of the Inter-ministerial Committee established to evaluate the measures in force in relation to the epidemiological data of the period.

It should be noted that the existing measures applied at Larnaca and Paphos Airports will remain in force until 28 February 2022.

In relation to recovery certificates, European or equivalent certificates from other countries related to the European Digital Certificate and linked to the European Digital Certificate shall be accepted. [*]For travel purposes, passengers, aged 18 years and over, must also have received the booster 3rd dose of vaccine in the case of a bivalent vaccine or the 2nd dose in the case of a monovalent vaccine. [*]For travel purposes, vaccination certificates of passengers, aged 18 years and over, who have received two doses of divalent vaccine or one dose of mono-divalent vaccine, shall be accepted only if a period of 9 months has not elapsed since the date of administration of the 2nd dose in case of divalent vaccine or the single dose in case of mono-divalent vaccine, respectively. [*]For travel purposes, passengers aged 18 years and under shall be considered to have completed their vaccination schedule if they have received the 2nd dose in case of a bivalent vaccine or the single dose in case of a single dose in case of a single dose.
