"On the occasion of today's event, we take examples and draw messages on how to move forward more dynamically, claiming to live in a free Cyprus", said the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Ms. Athena Michaelidou in her statements to journalists on the sidelines of a conference organized by the Ministry of Education, on the topic "I know, I do not forget, I claim: Our Occupied Schools. In particular, Ms. Michaelidou said in her statements that this is a very moving event, which takes place in the context of the events organized for the 50th anniversary of the coup d'état and the invasion of our country.

Specifically, Ms. Michaelidou said in her statements that this is a very moving event, which takes place in the context of the events organized for the 50th anniversary of the coup d'état and the invasion of our country.

She added that "all this time the schools have been working on the issue, the teachers have found materials, they have done a lot of actions and activities in our schools, which I had the opportunity to see and the result is excellent."

The Minister of Education also noted that "today's event focuses on the contribution of our schools in the occupied territories, so the emphasis is on the history of the schools in the occupied territories, our primary and secondary schools. The emphasis is on the contribution of these schools to the education of the country, but more broadly to our Cyprus, to the history of our country."

He also noted that "On this occasion we take examples and draw messages on how to move forward more dynamically, claiming to live in a free Cyprus. I am very happy to see many children with their teachers presenting their work to us. And as I notice, much of what they presented to us is the result of their own personal work. Songs they have written, poems they have written and projects that are posted in the hall," the Minister of Education said in conclusion.
