The measures that have been taken in relation to the safety of citizens are constantly evaluated in terms of their effectiveness, Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letibiotis said today.
Speaking to reporters after the memorial service for the heroes of the community of Emba, asked to comment on the issue of the increase in crime and asked about the measures taken by the State, the Spokesman said: "Ensuring the safety and sense of security of the citizens of a favoured State is among the primary obligations and highest priorities of the State."
Measures are constantly being taken. We evaluate these measures on a daily basis. Several of the measures are visible to our citizens, but what we will continue to do is to make every effort, in cooperation with the Police, to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of all the measures already taken, so that they can be further strengthened to the maximum extent possible."
