We are participating in today's meeting of the Council of Agriculture Ministers with very ambitious goals.
The European Commission's immediate response to the Council's call for urgent action to address the difficulties faced by European farmers and Parliament's adoption of the amended institutional framework in such a short time has demonstrated the flexibility of the institutions and given our producers hope for the day ahead.
The MED9 meeting has just concluded. The 9 Euro-Mediterranean countries under the Cyprus Presidency, which is actually convening these meetings with the ultimate aim of recording our common demands and finding common tools to solve the problems faced by the farmers of the Mediterranean countries.
