The Council of Ministers decided to strengthen the staffing of the Forestry Department and to announce a series of measures with financial incentives, which strengthen prevention in forest communities.
Specifically, the Forestry Department is being strengthened by the immediate recruitment of 108 people to cover the need for forest firefighters, special vehicle operators and firefighters.
The measures with financial incentives are.
The second is a measure for the cultivation of abandoned fields, the application of silvicultural measures in forests and wooded areas, as well as the cutting of grass and low unwanted bushes in roadside verges.
And the third is 100% funding to clusters of communities adjacent to forest areas to obtain chippers.
Note that these measures begin to be implemented this month.
