In the framework of the government's policy to further activate domestic human resources and achieve the goal of creating full employment conditions, two Plans for the provision of incentives for employment and training were approved today by the Council of Ministers, following a proposal by the Ministry of Labour 1.265 unemployed persons.

Through the implementation of the Plans, 815 unemployed young people under 30 years of age and 450 unemployed persons without age restrictions will be employed and trained, while flexible forms of work through technology will be exploited as a result of the adoption of legislation on teleworking.

It is noted that in order to link the implementation of the Plans with the integration of welfare benefit recipients into the labour market, we are in close cooperation with the relevant Deputy Minister of Social Welfare.

The Government is working to fully utilize the resources of the Recovery and Resilience Plan for the benefit of the citizens of our country, and with the reduction of unemployment through the Plans, it is expected that hundreds of households will benefit.

The total budget of the two Plans currently approved by the Council of Ministers amounts to €11,694,000, and the costs are divided between them at €7,824.00 and €3,870,000.
