In view of the regular meeting that the Deputy Minister of State for Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Mr. George Michaelides, the Digital Security Authority and the two competent departments of the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy (Department of Information Technology Services and Cybersecurity Directorate) to monitor the progress of cybersecurity of critical infrastructures, Mr. Hadjizaharias made the following statement.
"As part of my regular briefing on the progress and coordination of work on the implementation of the State's Critical Infrastructure Protection Plan in cooperation with the Communications Commissioner, Mr. George Michaelides, the Digital Security Authority and the two relevant departments of the Ministry of State, I convened a meeting during which I was informed about the progress of the procedures and the operation of the Security Operations Centre (SOC) in the critical infrastructure of the state as well as about the other ongoing cyber security projects.
There is excellent cooperation between the parties and the procedures for the protection of the critical infrastructure of the state are being implemented as planned.

It is a top priority for the government and our State Department to ensure the proper functioning of our critical infrastructure. We are all working with absolute collectivity in order to address any problems that may arise for the sole purpose of protecting the Republic of Cyprus."
