On 29 March 2024, the Cyprus Human Resources Development Authority (CDA) and the CYENS Centre of Excellence signed a Memorandum of Understanding and a Contract for the implementation of digital skills training programmes. The documents were signed by Mr. Yannis Mourouzidis, Director General of AnAD and Mr. George Chrysanthou, Director General of CYENS.200 people on topics related to interactive applications, visual communication, web applications, virtual environments, 3D digital reconstruction, artificial intelligence, big data analysis and entertainment software development.
The training programmes are offered free of charge to employees in the private and public and wider public sector, self-employed and unemployed, in the framework of the project "Training Programmes for Digital Skills Acquisition", aiming at the acquisition of new and upgrading of existing digital skills of the Cypriot workforce. The project is funded by the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Mechanism - NextGenerationEU through the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan.
