On the margins of the High-Level Week of the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations, Foreign Minister Dr Konstantinos Kombos and Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Kulubaev Zheenbek Moldokanovich signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations between the two countries.
The signing of the Memorandum is a concrete example of the common will of the two sides to deepen the institutional framework of bilateral cooperation, as well as the principle of concluding additional memoranda of understanding in areas of mutual interest. It reflects the political will of the two countries to develop a mutually beneficial, structured political dialogue.
This was preceded by a bilateral meeting between the two Ministers, during which they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, current developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and Central Asia, the Cyprus problem, as well as EU-Kyrgyzstan relations.
