During today's (14/05/24) regular briefing of the international media of the United Nations (UN), the Deputy Representative of the Secretary-General, Mr. Farhan Haq said that the Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General, Ms. María Ángela Holguín, completed her third visit to the island this week, as well as her visits to Ankara and Athens.
As Ms. Holguín has informed the media in Cyprus yesterday, May 13, she will soon begin preparing her report to Mr. Guterres on the results of her visits and will discuss with him the way forward.
In the meantime, Mr. Haq said, she will continue her efforts to seek common ground.
