The Consumer Protection Service of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry is conducting a Public Consultation on the draft Bill entitled "The Law on the Determination of Maximum Retail Prices of Products at Specific Points of Sale where Adequate Competition cannot be Developed Law of 2023".
The purpose of the of the proposed draft Bill, is to establish rules on setting maximum retail prices for products at specific points of sale where, by definition, sufficient competition cannot develop, which is necessary to safeguard the public interest and the interests of consumers.
The Public Consultation is open to all interested parties.
Any comments/comments and views of interested parties should be submitted no later than 6 October 2023 to aiordanou@meci.gov.cy and athoidi@meci.gov.cy.
