The presentation will be offered by Dr. Kostas Fanti, Professor of the Department of Psychology of the University of Cyprus. The main objective of the presentation is to examine the phenomenon of school violence, from childhood to adolescence, with particular reference to the phenomenon of school and cyber bullying, as well as the risks that victims and perpetrators run due to this behaviour, such as increased stress and reduced quality of life.

During the presentation, the way in which anxiety negatively affects various aspects of students' lives will be discussed, as well as the reasons why anxiety is a risk factor for school violence and peer marginalisation. In addition, the importance of developing empathy, i.e. the ability to identify emotionally with another person's mental state and to understand their behaviour or feelings, will also be discussed.
