[PIO] Pancyprian High School Boys' and Girls' Volleyball Competitions / TESEK 2021-2022

The Physical Education Inspectorate of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth (MPEY) announces the completion of the 2021-2022 Boys' and Girls' Handball Pancyprian Games, High School and TESEK 2021-2022.

The games were held with complete success, in compliance with the sanitary measures due to the pandemic. The success was due to the sportsmanship and fair play of the athletes throughout the games. Congratulations are therefore due to all the athletes who competed, as well as to all those who contributed to the realization of these games.

The Pancyprian Volleyball Games were held in three phases:

  1. Quarter-final matches (boys/boys)
  2. Semi-final matches (boys/boys)
  3. Final ranking matches (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th place)

The matches took place on 7/02/2022, 8/02/2022 and 10/02/2022 at the "Spyros Kyprianou" Sports Centre, as well as at the Themistokleio Sports Centre in Limassol.

The following schools participated in the games:

Arenon

Paralimnios Lyceum Apostolou Varnava Lyceum - Nicosia Pancyprian Gymnasium - Nicosia Livadia Lyceum Lanitio Lyceum - Nicosia Lemesou Lyceum Solea Lyceum Petrou and Pavlou Lyceum - Lemesou Lyceum Ethnarchis Makarios Pafos

Female

Lanitio Lyceum - Limassol Lymythou Lyceum Kykkos Lyceum B' Grammar School - Limassol Ethnarchis Makarios Paphos Lyceum Pallouriotissa Lyceum Paralimniu Pancyprian Lyceum Larnaca

The teams of Paralimniu Lyceum and Ethnarchis Makarios Paphos Lyceum qualified for the Boys' final. The winner was the team of Ethnarchis Makarios Pafos Lyceum with a score of 3 - 1.

In the Girls' final the teams of Grammar School - Limassol and Pallouriotissa Lyceum qualified. The athletes of both teams made a great effort to win and after a nice match, the Grammar School - Limassol team emerged as Champions 3 - 0.

Well done to the winning Boys' and Girls' teams, but also to all the children who participated and competed, offering a beautiful spectacle and many emotions.

The final ranking of the above schools is as follows: 2nd place: Paralimni Lyceum 3rd place: Lanitio Lyceum - Limassol 4th place: Livadia Lyceum

1st place: Grammar School - Limassol 2nd place: Pallouriotissa Lyceum 3rd place: Lanitio Lyceum - Limassol 4th place: Paralimnios Lyceum

The Physical Education Inspectorate of the Ministry of Physical Education of the Ministry of Education owes warm thanks to all those who were important helpers in the realization of this year's games. To the athletes' escorts, Physical Education teachers, those who were assigned duties, as well as the Referees for their voluntary and impeccable contribution in the conduct of the games.
