The Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign and European Affairs and Chairman of the Cyprus-Serbia Friendship Group Mr. Harris Georgiades and the Members of the Committee Mr. Chairman), George Loukaides, George Koukoumas and Christos Orphanides, will leave tomorrow, Tuesday, 26 September 2023, for Belgrade, for a three-day official visit, at the invitation of the respective Serbia-Cyprus Friendship Group to the National Assembly of Serbia. The delegation will be accompanied by the Senior Official for International Relations of the Parliament, Ms. Avgusta Christou.
During their stay in Belgrade, the Cypriot MPs will be received by the Deputy Prime Minister, responsible for Foreign Policy and Security and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Mr. They will have separate meetings with the Chairperson of the Serbia-Cyprus Friendship Group Biljana Pantić Pilja and Members of the Friendship Group, the Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee Borko Stefanović and the Chairperson of the European Integration Committee Elvira Kovács and Members of both Committees. They will also attend a lunch hosted by the President of the Serbia-Cyprus Friendship Group, Ms Pantić Pilja, and a dinner hosted by the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr Stefanović, in honour of the delegation.
Moreover, within the framework of the visit, the delegation will visit places of historical and cultural interest in Belgrade and neighbouring cities.
