The Minister of State for European Affairs, Ms Marilena Raouna, will travel to Ljubljana, Slovenia, tomorrow for a two-day working visit.
During her stay in Slovenia, Ms Raouna will have separate meetings with the Minister of State for European Affairs, Mr. Marko Štucin and with the Deputy Minister of State for European Affairs (Prime Minister's Office) Mr Igor Mally at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the visit, the Slovenian side will provide information on best practices in relation to the Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU), also in view of the forthcoming assumption of the Presidency of the Council of the EU by the Republic of Cyprus.
The Deputy Minister of State for European Affairs' contacts in Ljubljana will focus on issues related to the European agenda such as Enlargement, the Western Balkans, the future of Europe, institutional reforms and Euro-Turkish relations.
Ms Raouna will also provide an update on the current situation facing the Republic of Cyprus due to the migration issue.
The Deputy Minister for European Affairs will return to Cyprus on 5 April.
