Health Minister Michael Damianos had a meeting with the Board of Directors of the State Health Services Organization (SHSO) today.

In his statements before the start of the meeting, the Minister noted that this will help to better understand the current situation. "We are confident that with the cooperation of the relevant bodies the problems will be much easier to solve," Damianos said.

Asked about the issue of antiviral drugs, the minister stressed that the contribution of the Greek Ministry of Health had been sought and that a sufficient quantity of preparations had arrived in Cyprus. "I would particularly like to thank the Greek Ministry of Health for their assistance," Damianos said, noting that the quantities expected from Germany were on their way. "There is no problem at all, especially after the quantity we have received from Greece, and everything will run smoothly," the Health Minister added.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the OCYPY, Marinos Kallis, welcomed the Minister on his first visit to the Agency and expressed the expectation that together with the Minister and the Ministry of Health, many of the problems currently facing the Agency will be resolved as soon as possible. One of the issues to be discussed is the issue of extending the state sponsorship to OKYPY, Kallis said.
