The Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, Mr. George Papanastasiou has departed for Tokyo, Japan, where he will lead a business delegation to participate in the Cyprus-Japan Business Forum, co-organised on Tuesday, 9 April, by the Ministry, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Republic of Cyprus Trade Centre in Tokyo.
At the Forum, the Minister will present to Japanese businessmen the competitive advantages of our country as an international business centre, as well as opportunities for cooperation in specific sectors that present the most favourable prospects for developing activities and strengthening cooperation with Japan, with emphasis on shipping, information and communication technologies and services. At the same time, Cypriot companies participating in the business mission will have the opportunity to hold pre-arranged B2B meetings with their Japanese counterparts.
During his stay in the Japanese capital, Mr. Papanastasiou is also scheduled to have a private meeting with the Vice Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, Mr. Taku Ishii, while he will also visit the international maritime exhibition Sea Japan, which will be held in Tokyo between 10 and 12 April 2024 and in which the Ministry, together with the Deputy Ministry of Shipping, will participate with an information booth.
