The final celebration of the Rizokarpaso Schools was attended, on behalf of the President of the Republic Mr. Ms Anna Aristotelous, Head of Humanitarian Affairs for Missing and Trapped Persons, who sent messages of support to the children, stressing that the aim is to ensure equal opportunities in education. As part of the event, Mrs Aristotelous, on behalf of the President of the Republic, presented cash prizes to the graduating students of the Gymnasium and Primary School and the excelling students of the Rizokarpaso Schools.

""People do not prosper thanks to physical and material goods, but through upbringing, education and a wealth of knowledge." This is what the ancient Greek philosopher Democritus once said. This is also my message today to you, the children, our children. You who are the future of the country, who through your education the hope for tomorrow is born", said Mrs Aristotelous in her address, expressing her joy and appreciation that after some time she was present at the graduation of the students of the Rizokarpassos Gymnasium and Lyceum.

As Mrs Aristotelous said, "today we celebrate the completion of an important and decisive phase in your lives and the beginning of a new period full of challenges and opportunities", while she conveyed the congratulations of the President of the Republic to all the students who successfully completed the school year, as well as for the achievements of the excellent students of the Gymnasium and Lyceum.

"Your perseverance and hard work, your consistency, especially in challenging subjects, and your endless efforts to achieve your goals are worthy of praise and an example for all of us. You are living proof that with dedication and commitment any goal can be achieved. As long as every child believes in himself, in his goals and potential, and in his dreams, he must never give up. And although some things may seem difficult, perseverance and willpower will lead you to achieve your goals," said Ms. Aristotelous.

The Head of Humanitarian Affairs said, among other things, that knowledge is the key that opens the doors to countless opportunities and empowers every child to shape his or her future, and indicated that even more important is the value of lifelong learning since, she said, acquiring new knowledge and experiences are valuable skills for children and young people to respond effectively to challenges.

Ms. Aristotelous conveyed the support of the Government and the President of the Republic himself, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, saying: "We invest in education and provide opportunities for all young people, because we believe that the future is in your hands. And that is the reality. Because you are the future. Our aim is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to grow to achieve their dreams."

In the context of the Governance Programme, where the focus is on people and a people-centred approach, Ms Aristotelous said: "Both I personally and our Service contribute in every way in this direction, so that the goal becomes a reality, through various actions for your social and personal development, through events of an educational, cultural and recreational nature, through the provision of incentives, through the granting of increased cash prizes for graduating and excelling high school and primary school students."

In addition, Mrs. Aristotelous pointed out that the Presidency, in the same context, proceeded to increase the Easter gift for our nine students, the 45 students attending the Kindergarten, Primary and Sixth Form High School of Rizokarpaso and the 18 infants, while "we contributed to improving the quality and quantity of the products sent, as well as to sending for the first time Easter and Christmas meals and delicacies for all families, for all, interned and resettled".

Subsequently, the Chief said: "In cooperation with the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, we are proceeding to strengthen education by implementing training courses based on the needs you have sent us, as well as the implementation of the educational trip to Italy with your teachers. We have also recorded the needs for musical instruments and toys, and in collaboration with the Minister of Education we will proceed to achieve this objective as well."

Finally, as Ms. Aristotelous said, for the first time, activities were organized with the participation of interned and resettled children, such as attending a theatrical performance, participating in events organized in the Acropolis Park that included recreational games and lunch for all children and students and offering Christmas gifts, a visit to the Camel Park, etc,

"Through these programs, such as scholarship programs, vocational training, innovative educational initiatives and university partnerships, we will continue to provide the tools and opportunities you need for your progress and development."

"Through these programs, such as scholarship programs, vocational training, innovative educational initiatives and university partnerships, we will continue to provide the tools and opportunities you need for your progress and development. Technology and research, language learning and skills will be the pillars on which the future of education will be built, ensuring that all students have equal access to education and opportunities," Ms Aristotelous concluded.
