Dear teachers,
Christians everywhere are preparing with deep emotion and humility to celebrate the birth of Christ in a few days. The message of hope with which this event is associated gives even greater weight to the expectation of all of us for the prevalence of peace on earth and within ourselves. Particularly at a time when people and global society are tested daily by multiple challenges, in addition to the revival of customs linked to the habits and traditions of our people, today, as never before, we are called upon to be inspired by the message of Christmas.
Let us therefore approach Christmas, the feast of peace and spiritual renewal, by making room in our lives for our suffering fellow human beings. Let us ease the grief and sorrow of those who suffer by being guided by the power of compassion and mercy. Let us put into practice the concept of selfless service, solidarity and respect for the uniqueness of every human being, regardless of their origin or background. Let us work together to create a peaceful world in which security, prosperity and progress prevail for all, not just for the few. The outgoing year is an opportunity for critical reflection on all that we have experienced in the past months. At the same time, the coming year is an opportunity to set new goals and strive to achieve them.
On the road to achieving your own noble goals, be assured and confident that the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth and its officials at all positions and levels will continue to stand by your side and strengthen your efforts, reinforcing skills but above all the love of learning and school.
May the newborn Christ bring the New Year to each and every one of you, health, prosperity and fulfillment of your aspirations. May, soon, the joyful message of the birth of Christ be heard in all the churches of our occupied homeland, which will now be able to function freely again.
