[PIO] Members of the Cypriot delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy (IPA) will participate in a meeting of the International

The Honourable Members. Panicos Leonidou (leader), Efthimios Diplaros, Elias Mirianthous and Marinos Moussioutta, members of the Cypriot delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy (IPA), will travel to Thessaloniki tomorrow to participate in a meeting of the International Secretariat of the IPA and an International Political Conference on "Politics as a space for the expression of Christian values in everyday life", from 14 to 17 May 2024. The delegation will be accompanied by the International Relations Officer A of the Parliament, Mr. Vassilis Koliaris.

The meeting of the International Secretariat will deal with issues concerning the amendment of the Constitutive Act of the IOA, as well as the operation and planning of the next actions of the Assembly.

In the context of the work of the International Political Conference, Mr. Leonidou will moderate a round table discussion on "Christian Values and Church Expression" and Mr. Mirianthous will make a presentation at the round table discussion on "Christian Values and Everyday Politics: Truths, Obstacles, Dependencies". There will also be presentations on topics related to the role of Christian values in shaping the state/national interest, international politics and the production of legislation in the field of education, as well as the emergence of Christian values in the public social and economic sphere.
