At a meeting between the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Mr. Alexis Vafeadis and the Mayor of Strovolos Mr. Andreas Papacharalambous, the Municipal Engineer of the Municipality of Strovolos informed about the regeneration project of Cheriou Avenue.
The briefing was held in the presence of the Director General of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works Mr. Antonis Koutsoullis, the Director of Public Works Mr. Lefteris Eleftheriou, as well as competent officials of both the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works and the Municipality of Strovolos.
At the meeting, the studies for the partial implementation of the project and for the management of traffic during the execution of the construction works were presented.
On behalf of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, ways will be found to assist in maintaining the commerciality of the avenue, as well as relieving the traffic congestion that is expected to occur during the works.
