[PIO] Meeting of the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance with the President and a delegation of the Democratic Party

Today, Tuesday 30 January 2024, the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance Mr.Yiannis Panagiotou met with the President of the Democratic Party Mr.Nicolas Papadopoulos, the Secretary General and the MPs of the party's Parliamentary Labour Committee. The meeting concerned the information and exchange of views on the planning of the implementation of the Ministry's political priorities for 2024, within the framework of the Governance Programme.

In statements made after the meeting, both sides confirmed their satisfaction with the constructive cooperation and the results that have been achieved. In particular, the Minister said that social and political dialogue is essential for the implementation of the Government's people-centred policy, in line with the needs of society and the potential of the economy. He noted that especially with the political forces that support the Government, cooperation is essential, through which significant results have already been achieved in recent months with the contribution of the Democratic Party and even more will be achieved in the coming period.
