The Minister of Justice and Public Order Mr.Marios Hartsiotis met today with the Minister of Shipping and Insular Policy of Greece Mr.Christos Stylianides and their staffs.
The meeting, which took place in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, focused on addressing the migration problem and the mutual cooperation for further actions and exchange of expertise.
In their statements, the two Ministers expressed their mutual appreciation and willingness for further cooperation between the two countries on issues related to the two Ministries, with the main focus on migration.
The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two Ministries and the Security Bodies they represent was agreed upon in order, as Mr. Stylianides said, for this excellent cooperation between Greece and Cyprus to have more practical value and importance.
The will and willingness for joint actions, as Mr. Hartsiotis, leads to the decision for further steps of cooperation on the migration problem that both countries face equally.
