The Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Ms Athena Michaelides, met today with the President, members and executives of the Cyprus Scientific Technical Chamber (CTEK).
During the meeting, the intention of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth (MESY) was confirmed to continue, based on the recommendations of ETEK, the energy upgrading of public school buildings in Cyprus, alongside the installation of air conditioners. This programme is being implemented as announced and the installation of the first air conditioners in public schools is expected to start within the next few days.
It should be noted that all new public school buildings have almost zero energy consumption.
