In the framework of a scheduled meeting of the Commissioner for Rural Payments Mr.Andreas Kyprianou with all political leaders, a meeting was held today with the President of the Democratic Party (DIKO) Mr. At the meeting, the Commissioner for Agricultural Payments informed the President of the Democratic Party about the role, work and mission of the Cyprus Agricultural Payments Organisation (CAPO).

At the meeting, the Commissioner for Agricultural Payments informed the President of the Democratic Party about the role, work and mission of the Cyprus Agricultural Payments Organisation (CAPO). The Commissioner also expressed his desire for close cooperation with all political parties for the benefit of the agricultural economy. He also thanked Mr Nicola Papadopoulos for the constructive and productive discussion they had.
During the meeting they discussed issues concerning the agricultural and rural economy, the problems that plague the applicants and especially the ways to facilitate the Cypriot farmer, the payments of the interventions and generally ways and methods to facilitate the farmers in order to fully absorb all European Union funds related to agriculture.
The President of DIKO expressed his full support for the institution of the Commissioner and his satisfaction with the functioning of the Agency. He noted that there will continue to be full cooperation between the Democratic Party and the Agency and the Commissioner personally, in order to achieve the common goals, which is the good of the agricultural economy of Cyprus.
