1. The Statistical Office announces that it has published the monthly electronic publication "Statistics of Intra-Community Trade and Trade with Third Countries (by commodity and country)" for the period January - November 2021. The report includes detailed data on the quantity and value of imports and exports of domestically produced and foreign products, by six-digit Combined Nomenclature commodity code and by main trading partner.
2. The main developments in Cyprus' foreign trade were. Total exports of goods (to EU Member States and third countries) for the period January - November 2021 were €2,945.8 million compared to €2,556.0 million for the same period in 2020, an increase of 15.3%. The trade deficit was €4,829.8 million for the period January - November 2021 compared to €4,372.6 million for the same period in 2020.
(b) The European Union was the main source of supply of goods to Cyprus with a share of €5,033.2 million of total imports, while imports from other European countries were €576.9 million in the period January - November 2021. Imports from the rest of the world were €2,165.5 million.
(c) Exports to the European Union amounted to €804.7 million, while exports to other European countries were €395.3 million in the period January - November 2021. Exports to the rest of the world were €1,745.8 million
