The Department of Antiquities of the Ministry of Culture announces that on Wednesday 21 February 2024 at 10:00 am an International Mountain Bike Race (Cyprus Sunshine Cup) will take place at the Archaeological Site of Amathus. On the previous days the venue will also be used for training of the athletes.
The course that the cyclists will follow has been marked and there will be supervisors from the organisers at the venue. The archaeological site will be open to the public and on the day of the races admission will be free of charge. Visitors are kindly requested to follow the instructions of the race supervisors and archaeological guards and to be particularly careful when moving around the site.
