Transparency in the State's financial transactions allows the citizen to hold state agencies more accountable, and the principle of transparency has been integrated with regulatory provisions in our legislative framework for financial management and control since 2014.
Based on the above framework, upgrading the financial information provided by the General Accounting Office to the public is imperative and continuous. Through the website of our Office, and taking into account the need to provide useful and timely information, the gross and net salaries of government officials and employees (including those paid on a fixed salary), by scale and grade, are presented and updated semi-annually.
The above information is posted under the "Sectors" section, "Salary Services/Salaries" subsection and the "Civil Service and State Officials' Compensation" option, and the current salary schedules for 2024 are presented separately within that section at the links Salaries of Government Officials and Salaries of State Employees.
It should be clarified that with regard to the amount of net pay presented, this is based only on statutory deductions. For the purpose of computation of income tax, no account shall be taken of additional deductions/exemptions/deductions or other income that may be applicable on a case by case basis.
