Councillor Rita Theodorou Superman will represent the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly at the World Conference of Women Parliamentarians on the theme: "The role of women parliamentarians in the development, implementation and oversight of legislation, policies and strategies to combat terrorism and prevent violent extremism."
Councillor Ms. Rita Theodorou Superman, Special Rapporteur of the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly (MPA) on combating terrorism and organized crime, is travelling to Doha to participate, on 26 and 27 June 2024, in a Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians, organized by the UN Office for the Fight against Terrorism with the support of the Parliament of Qatar. The Conference is organized under the UN Office on Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) Programme "Parliamentary Participation in Preventing and Combating Terrorism".
