Participation of the head of the Cypriot delegation to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Mr Aristos Damianou, in the Parliamentary Development Training Programme of the Association's Parliamentary Academy. Aristos Damianou, head of the Cypriot delegation to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), will travel to Edinburgh the day after tomorrow to participate in the CPA Parliamentary Academy's Parliamentary Development Training Programme, which will take place between 15 and 21 October 2023.
The training programme aims to share experiences and best practices on effective parliamentarianism in the 21st century. Through an interactive case study and analysis, issues related to the legislative process and post-legislative scrutiny, the evolution of parliamentary oversight in the context of the role of parliamentary committees, strengthening the participation and education of parliamentarians, and enhancing interaction with the community and citizens through the media and social networks will be discussed.
