The Scheme concerns the provision of state sponsorship to enterprises and organisations of all economic activities (private, semi-public or public sector, if they carry out an economic activity, which is specified in the Grant Scheme) that will install an EMAS Environmental Management System, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 1221/2009/EC, in order to address the environmental aspects of enterprises/organisations, reduce the use of natural resources and continuously improve their environmental performance.

The same amount of €500 is also used to finance the costs of the transition from ISO 14001 to EMAS.
The deadline for submitting applications is 1 November 2024. Companies and organisations that apply for registration in the EMAS Register no later than the above date will be eligible to apply.
