[PIO] Fraud via mobile phone messages

25783.jpg

Cyprus Postal Services informs the public that a new attempt to defraud the public by sending messages to mobile phones has been observed, using the name of Cyprus Post as shown in the photoː

The points to look out for to establish that the communication in question is NOT from Cyprus Post:

[*]Mobile messages do not refer to the official website of the Department www.cypruspost.post but to

http://cypruspost.w-pengine.com/c/b/6JsHFLIB

[*]The Greek dictionary comes from an automatic translation [*]The item number is not real (check that you are actually expecting an item) [*]Cyprus Post will not return an item or deliver an item because duties/taxes were not paid [*]Payments are not directed to the JCCSmart online payment platform, but to another email address.
