The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Monday 28 August 2023 at 13:25, a fire broke out in an area of the Pyrgos Community of Limassol District.
The intervention of the forest firefighting forces was immediate, resulting in the fire being brought under control at 13:40 before it spread.
Four persons of the Forestry Department with one fire truck worked to extinguish the fire.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
