The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today at 11:00 a fire broke out in the location "Ftelesia" of the community of Kornou, endangering the community forest of Kornou.
The fire was brought under full control at 11:10, before spreading after burning a small area of wild vegetation and grasses.
14 Forestry Department personnel with two fire engines worked to extinguish the fire.
The fire was caused by burning.
