[PIO] Forest fire under full control in an area of the community of Lympion

The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that on 12 November at 17:00 a fire broke out in an area of the community of Lympion, Nicosia district.

The fire was brought under full control at 17:45 after burning an area of two decares covered with reeds.

Three fire-fighting vehicles of the Forestry Department with nine persons participated in the extinguishing operation, while two private tractors also supported the extinguishing efforts.

The causes of the fire are being investigated.
