The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 12:10 pm, a fire broke out in an area of Kambia Community, Nicosia District.
The fire was brought under full control at 13:10, after burning 3.5 hectares of low wild vegetation, olive trees and moss trees.
20 persons of the Forestry Department with six fire trucks operated to extinguish the fire.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
