The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 12:30 pm, a forest fire occurred in the community of Vretsia.
The fire was brought under full control at 14:40, after burning one and a half hectares of reeds, low wild vegetation and forest vegetation.
Two Forestry Department fire engines with ten personnel were involved in the suppression operation.
The fire was set maliciously.
