[PIO] Forest fire in the community of Phoeti under full control

The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today at 12:50 a fire broke out near the community of Photi.

The fire was brought under full control at 13:20, after burning an area of half a decade with low wild vegetation.

Eight Forestry Department personnel with two fire engines and three residents of the community with an agricultural tractor attempted to extinguish the fire.

The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
