The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 13:05, a fire occurred in the Community of Gerion.
The intervention of the forest firefighting forces was immediate, and the fire was brought under control at 14:00, burning five decares of dry grass and a few scattered trees.
Five Forestry Department personnel with two fire trucks and two Fire Department personnel with one fire truck worked to extinguish the fire.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
