The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that on Thursday, 15 August 2024, at 16:20, a fire broke out in the area of Trionia of the Community of Kathika.
The fire was fully controlled at 16:40, after it burned an area of one decimetre, covered with duff.
Four persons of the Forestry Department with one fire engine and two persons of the Fire Service with one fire engine operated to extinguish the fire.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
