The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that the fire that broke out today, Monday, June 3, 2024, at 13:54, in the boundaries of the Community of Gourriou is still ongoing.
Strong ground firefighting forces, a Forestry Department firefighting aircraft, a Police helicopter, a Jordanian helicopter based in Cyprus and a British Bases helicopter are operating to extinguish the fire.
Additional firefighting forces are being directed to the area to assist in the extinguishing work.
