The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 09:21, a fire broke out in an area within the boundaries of Aradippou Municipality, Larnaca District.
The fire was brought under full control at 11:22, burning an area of one hectare covered with debris and topsoil. The fire caused damage to one outbuilding and burned 60 large hay bales.
Fifteen people from the Forestry Department with three fire engines and seven people with three fire engines from the Fire Brigade operated to extinguish the fire.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
