The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Friday, June 28, 2024, at 16:00, a fire broke out in an area of the Lythrodonda Community, near the Lythrodonda State Forest.
The timely intervention of forest firefighters prevented the fire from spreading, resulting in the fire being brought under control at 16:30.
Nine members of the Forestry Department with four fire engines participated in the extinguishing operation.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
