[PIO] Forest fire in an area of the Community of Kyperounda under full control

The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that yesterday, Monday, April 1, 2024 at 13:54, a fire broke out in the community of Kyperounda, location "Mouskou".

The intervention of the forest firefighting forces was immediate, resulting in the fire being brought under full control at 14:30 before it spread.

15 persons of the Forestry Department with three fire engines worked to extinguish the fire.

The causes of the fire are being investigated.
